Visiting a church for the first time can be awkward, especially if you don’t know anybody or what to expect when you arrive. Don’t worry! We’re about to tell you everything you need to know to get around Sandhills with no problems.
When you arrive at Sandhills and enter one of the two main doors, you will enter our lobby. On the right side is our worship auditorium, along with our Welcome Center. Visit the Welcome Center to pick up more information about Sandhills and meet some of the people who attend. If you’re the quiet type who doesn’t like to talk to a lot of strangers, you can just bypass that altogether and head right into the worship auditorium. We don’t mind.
Before you get comfortable, you may want to consider getting some coffee or other refreshments in the lobby. Our Hospitality Team will be happy to serve you, and you can spend a few minutes relaxing before the service. Don’t worry if you haven’t finished your coffee. You’re welcome to take it with you into the worship auditorium.
For parents who have children (Nursery through 5th Grade), you’ll want to walk over to the left hand side of the lobby. One of our friendly Sandkidz volunteers will check your child into our computer system and guide you to your child’s room. You and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will wear the name tag portion and you will wear the matching identification tags bearing the same code. During checkout, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order to pick up your child.
You can also inform our volunteers of any allergies or other special needs at the check in station. This information is added to your child’s profile and prints on your child’s name tag. This gives our volunteers the information they need to properly care for your child while they are with us.
If for some reason your child needs you during the service, you will see your code number appear on the presentation screens to the left and right of the main stage. When your code number appears, please report to the Sandkidz Check In Station and a volunteer will direct you to your child’s room.
If you lose your portion of the identification tag, please go directly to the Sandkidz Check-In station, be ready to show your driver’s license and we will issue you another one.
The Sandkidz volunteer staff will be happy to answer any questions that you have. Just let them know if you have any questions or concerns when you are checking in.
