Sandhills Church

John was born here in Columbia SC but grew up all around the US. The son of an Army Chaplain John was raised in a Christian home and fully surrendered his life to Christ his senior year of high school in 2015. He then enrolled in Columbia International University’s BA 5 Year MDiv program earning a BA in Advanced Biblical and Theological Studies as well as his Masters of Divinity with a concentration in Pastoral Ministry. In 2019 he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army Reserves as a Chaplain Candidate, a few months later he married his college sweetheart Claire, what a summer! After volunteering at Sandhills for a number of years John was brought onto the Pastoral staff as the head of Young Adult Ministries and Online Ministries. As the Pastor over young adults John seeks to facilitate and encourage an environment where 18-25 year olds can fellowship and enjoy real people, real talk, and real life together. As the Pastor of Online Ministries he seeks to create a real church experience digitally through online engagement in live church broadcasting and social media. John enjoys runs with his German Shepherd Ruby, Disc Golf, and video games in his free time!
