SandKidz (Infants-5th Grade)
Connie Edwards

Connie was born and raised in a small town in Southwest Virginia with her mother and brother. She began a relationship with Jesus at the age of 12 during a Power Team event and soon began a journey of growth. She lived in the same house her entire childhood until she left for Liberty University in 2006. Her life-long goal since she was a young teenager was to attend medical school and become a physician; however, she pursued a Bachelors degree in Health Promotions. She married Jason who served in the Army, and then they began moving around the country. When Jason left military life in 2013, they moved to Columbia and immediately had their daughter, Zoie. Jason, Connie, and Zoie started attending Sandhills in 2013 by a miraculous discovery through the car wash. Connie was a stay-at-home mom for several years until she was hired on at Sandhills as coordinator in 2015. In early 2016 she was made director of Sandkidz Jr (Infants - 5K). In 2023, her area of responsibility grew to also include Sandkidz (1st- 5th grade). She thoroughly enjoys every minute of serving children and parents. Her favorite verse for both her family and ministry comes from Proverbs 22:6, “Teach a youth about the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
