The Vision
We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of a new Sandhills Community Church location in the Denny Terrace community! We recognize the importance of new congregations to effectively reach diverse demographics with the message of Jesus Christ.
Columbia's population is experiencing steady growth and we believe our vision for a new Sandhills location mindfully aligns with demographic insight; and has strategic outreach initiatives that offer new opportunities to reach a growing and diverse community effectively.
By opening a Sandhills location in the Denny Terrace community, we plant seeds of hope, resilience, and togetherness; that can only come through the power of the gospel, and a community of people leading others to live Christ-centered lives.

The fact we have a building to work with is truly a blessing! However, it has largely gone unused and unmaintained for many years; so there is quite a bit of renewal and renovation required before we can use it to its fullest potential. The last several months have been spent doing just that, but unfortunately, it has not all gone as smoothly as we hoped.
We have completed renovating the Fellowship Hall, but the main building has presented some unforeseen challenges. Due to these setbacks, our launch date has been pushed to 2026.
God has been so faithful in providing even in the setbacks. We continue to trust Him to provide people, resources, and favor in order to effectively reach the Denny Terrace Community and further the work that we feel He is calling us to do. Below are some ways you can be engaged in the process:

How we are Currently engaging our community
While we haven't been able to meet for Sunday Service yet, we have still been active in our Denny Terrace Community. We have been fortunate to partner with some amazing people and organizations to bring the Gospel and hope to those around us. We welcome you to join us at any of these events.
Join us on the first Monday of the month, from 11:30am to 1:30pm, for a potluck lunch, a devotional, activities, and great fellowship. All are welcome, so invite a friend or family member. Please bring a dish to share. No nuts, please.
This After School Club is for students up to 8th grade and aims to create a safe, fun, and loving environment for children to come after school. During our after school club, students can work on homework, enjoy a snack and play games.
We host monthly block parties on our campus in partnership with Columbia Dream Center. Our shared dream is to reach our community by understanding and meeting both physical and spiritual needs. Our block parties are free to the public.
