David Olshine

David was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee before moving to Cincinnati, Ohio at age 13. His education includes: B.G.S., Ohio University; M.Div., Asbury Theological Seminary; D.Min., The Eastern Baptist Seminary. He joined the faculty of Columbia International University in 1993, and is currently Director and Professor of Youth Ministry, Family, and Culture. Before moving to Columbia, he served as minister of youth, associate pastor, and senior pastor in Ohio and Oklahoma. He has authored or co-authored more than eighteen books, including best-selling Studies on the Go: Philippians, Colossians and Thessalonians and Proverbs. David has been married to Rhonda since 1981. They have two kids, Rachel, who serves at East Texas Baptist University as a counselor and student affairs, and Andrew, a teenager at Irmo Middle School. Rhonda serves at Columbia International University as Faculty grader. Their family started attending SCC in August 2013 and David came on staff part time in October 2014. At Sandhills, David served as a consultant for various ministries. Currently, he is part of the Teaching Team. He loves to travel, and he has been to every state in the US and to over 20 countries. He and his family also like to read, play outside, run, play tennis and basketball, and swim. He loves seafood, chocolate, and ice cream.
