Our Nominating Committee, chaired by Pastor Jeff, has interviewed each of the following candidates for inclusion on the church's Governing Board, and is recommending them for approval.

Members in good standing should vote for or against each candidate, as they are all recommended to complete the Board.

If you indicate that you do not approve a candidate, you will be contacted by a member of the Nominating Committee.

Personal Bio
Jim has been married to Sherry since 1990. They have 3 adult children (Allyson, Lindsay, Matthew). Jim is a Professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. His hobbies include running, hiking, and travel.

Personal Bio
Ben put his trust in Jesus as a freshman at the University of Florida. He and his wife Caryn serve with The Navigators, ministering to college students at the University of South Carolina. He has a great passion to help train up and send out disciple-makers who will multiply their lives into the nations. They have three children, Sophia, Nora and David. Ben loves spending time outdoors-- camping, hiking, hunting, and building things are some of his favorite hobbies.

Chris Walkup

Personal Bio
Chis is married to Judi Walkup. They have 3 sons. The family has been blessed to be a part of Sandhills since 2005. He received a B.S. in Biochemistry from Clemson University and a Masters in International Business Studies from the University of South Carolina. He was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2000. Chris feels a special calling to be a wise steward of finances in both his career and service to his church. He has worked in investment management, real estate development, and real estate management for 25 years. Chris plays soccer and also has had the privilege to coach each of his sons on recreational soccer teams.

Personal Bio
Betty Anne is married to Scott Davidson. She is mom to James (12), Reese (10), Mark (6), and birth mom to Chloe (19). She is the daughter of Anne and Steve Acuff and was raised as an Air Force kid. She is a registered nurse working at the Children's Hospital, a Child Passenger Safety Technician Instructor, and a car seat safety enthusiast.
