Nancy was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. She earned a bachelor's degree in music at Furman University where she met her husband, Rett. She is a violinist and loves to serve the Lord with her gifts by volunteering in her church orchestra. Nancy & Rett enjoy living on Lake Wateree and spending time with their three young adult children whenever they are able to visit. 

 

Nancy was saved and baptized at nine years old. Her faith grew gradually over the years until she surrendered her life fully to Christ in college, and then experienced a significant increase in spiritual growth.

 

After working in TQM training and leadership development at SCE&G for about five years, Nancy stayed home with their three children: Edward, Katie, & Anna Caroline. Later she joined her church worship staff where she provided part-time administrative support to the orchestra & adult and children's choirs for ten years, and served as the Director of the Worship Arts Center music academy. The Lord called her to join the Sandhills Church staff team in November 2020. 

 

She discovered her "life verse" during their daughter's difficult journey through childhood cancer at age 13 (Katie, leukemia survivor). Their family learned to rely on God's strength, which He perfectly provided in exact portion, like manna for each new day.
